Our Mission

Our mission at Birchfield Equestrian Center is simple, be ethical and kind to our horses. The horse is the center of what we believe in at BEC. Our horses are treated with respect and are spoiled every day. They enjoy properly fitted tack (equipment), 24/7 access to hay (really important for their digestive health), and constant attention to how their feeling (mentally and physically). We never use harsh equipment on them. Since our horses let us ride them, they deserve to have as happy of lives as we can give them. 

Savannah focuses her lessons on making sure the students ride as kindly and quietly as possible. She makes sure the students are very clear in their aids and communication they give their lesson horse. There’s a big focus on teaching every student how to use their leg and seat to steer and control their horse, which is the nicest and most effective way to ride a horse.
